Eat More? Eat Less?
Rachel Burg
I've been following the Fad Diets That Work program for quite a while now. I've done really good (-70 pounds). The basic idea is that you do well the first few weeks of any diet because it's something new. So you switch diets every week to keep your body guessing. They're always looking for new diet ideas. I just finished a week of Fad Diet #17, one of their new additions.
One of the rules of FD#17 is that you eat every two hours. I've heard some people talk about eating 6 or 8 times a day and I thought they were crazy. But I never tried it.
During this last week I ate a small meal every two hours. The first day it felt really weird. After the first meal I wanted to eat more than what I was supposed to. But then I thought, "it's only two hours before I eat again, I'll be okay". It went back and forth like that the rest of the day.
By day 3 I felt this kind of freedom. I didn't feel like I needed to eat huge amounts of food, nor did I have that uncomfortable feeling of being "stuffed". I felt really good, never really hungry, never really full. It was amazing. I don't think I've felt like that in a long time....if ever. To top it off I lost 4 pounds in 6 days!
